Our Claim Process | Triboro Public Adjusting

The Triboro Claim Process

Inspect → Document → Estimate → Negotiate

Triboro keeps the claim centered on the damage, policy, records, and carrier response. The process is direct and the file stays organized from the first review through negotiation.

The Triboro Process

Four steps built around the actual loss.

1

Inspect

Review the property damage and the facts of the loss. In-person service covers our NYC metro service area, and inspections elsewhere in New York State are arranged by appointment.

2

Document

Organize photographs, measurements, estimates, and other available records that help support the claim.

3

Estimate

Prepare or review the scope of damage and repair costs against the available evidence and applicable policy.

4

Negotiate

Present the supported claim to the insurance company and address differences in the carrier’s estimate or position.

Before the Inspection

Preserve the evidence you already have.

  • Photograph affected rooms and items when it is safe.
  • Keep mitigation, contractor, hotel, and purchase receipts.
  • Save the policy, carrier estimate, letters, emails, and payment records.
  • Do not send policy numbers or sensitive records through the short website form.

During the Claim

Keep decisions tied to written records.

  • Track inspections, requests, deadlines, and carrier positions.
  • Compare the carrier estimate with the documented repair path.
  • Separate building, contents, living-expense, and business components.
  • Review releases or final-payment language before accepting a settlement.

Process Questions

Clear answers before the next claim decision.

What should I have ready for the first review?

Share what happened, when it happened, what the carrier has said or paid, and any photographs, estimates, letters, or mitigation records already available.

Does Triboro communicate with the insurance carrier?

Yes. After engagement, Triboro can organize the claim support, communicate with the carrier, and negotiate on the policyholder’s behalf.

Can Triboro review an estimate that was already paid?

Yes. A prior payment does not prove every damaged area, repair operation, content item, or eligible expense was included.

How are missed items addressed?

Triboro compares the carrier estimate with the documented damage and repair requirements, identifies omissions, and presents the supporting records to the carrier.

Important: This page provides general information, not legal advice. Coverage and payment depend on the policy, facts, documentation, carrier review, and applicable law.
